Arab League condemns Iraq's Al-Karada blast

CAIRO, May 30 (KUNA) -- The Arab League strongly condemned Tuesday recent attacks carried out in in Karrada district, Baghdad, killing and wounding a large number of people.
Arab Leagues Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit affirmed the solidarity with the Iraqi leadership, government and people against this brutality that targets innocent civilians.
Abul-Gheit called on world country to have quick coordination and cooperation to ensure the elimination of these terrorist groups and their thoughts.
The Secretary General expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Last night, blasts occurred in Karrada district, Baghdad, killing 11 and wounding 47 others. The so-called Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the bombing in Karrada. (end) mfm.hdr.ss
