AMMAN, May 10 (KUNA) -- The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as it entered the airspace of the kingdom on Wednesday evening.
Acting on the engagement rules, the RJAF sent an F-16 fighter jet that shot down the intruding drone in northwest of Al-Mafraq governorate, north Jordan, near the borders with Syria, the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces said in a statement.
The wreckage of the drone has been collected and sent it to the RJAF headquarters for probes into the identity and motives of party that sent the drone, according to the statement. (end)
