1964 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem received credentials of the first Belgian Ambassador to the country.
1964 -- Kuwait Medical Association, founded in 1963, was proclaimed. The association represented all doctors in Kuwait.
1968 -- The first issue of Al-Seyassah daily newspaper was published by Dar Al-Seyassah Press Publishing and Printing Distribution Company for the first time. The editor-in-chief of the newspaper was Ahmad Al-Jarallah.
1997 -- Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) began production of palm tissue.
2001 -- The Cabinet adopted a draft decree forming the Supreme Committee for development and economic reforms, headed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
2006 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah inaugurated Al-Babtain Central Library for Arabic Poetry. The library included 80,000 books including rare ones, as well as Braille books.
2012 -- The third conference of medical used of laser and treatment of skin diseases kicked off with participation of 70 specialists from Europe, Asia and some Arab countries.
2012 -- Kuwait Dive Team (KDT), affiliated with the Environmental Voluntary Foundation (EVF), salvaged a sunken 4-ton coat at Failaka harbor. (end) gta
