Coalition launches 25 strikes in Syria, Iraq

WASHINGTON, March 20 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) launched 25 strikes in Syria and Iraq "consisting of 92 engagements" Sunday, the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report.
In Syria, 19 strikes "consisting of 27 engagements" hit IS targets near Ar Raqqah and Abu Kamal, the report showed.
In Iraq, six strikes "consisting of 65 engagements" hit IS targets near Mosul, the report said. (end) ak.mt
