RAMALLAH, March 6 (KUNA) -- During an exchange of fire that took place in Ramallah, one Palestinian was killed in the clashes on Monday, after which Israeli forces entered a house during a raid to seize a suspected militant.
"During an arrest mission of a suspected Palestinian gunman in Ramallah, a suspect opened fire at security forces," Israeli army said.
"The forces fired toward the perpetrator. In the exchange, the gunman was killed," the Israeli army added.
Palestinian health officials confirmed and named the Palestinian as Basel Al-Araj.
On another front, Palestinian eyewitnesses said that Palestinian youths were injured by Israeli fire during a protest over the killing of Al-Araj. (end)
