S. Korea keen on participating in Kuwait development projects -- minister

KUWAIT, March 4 (KUNA) -- Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Services Yasser Abul said on Saturday that the current visit to Kuwait by South Korean Minister of Transports Kan Hoin reflects the Koreans' particular interest in Kuwait's mega ventures.
Minister Abul made the statement to KUNA following an aerial tour with the visiting South Korean official over site of South Saad Al-Abdullah City's project.
Moreover the visit is in implementation of agreements that had been signed by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to South Korea in May.
He indicated that South Korea's technical expertise might be employed in execution of the large project.
The minister also indicated that the planning and designing contract would be inked and feasibility studies for the project would be worked out in the coming days; to be followed with setting up a joint company for execution.
South Korean companies are currently taking part in several development projects; such as Sheikh Jaber bridge, roads in Al-Sabbiya and Doha as well as Saad Al-Abdullah City.
Earlier today, Minister Hoin inspected Sheikh Jaber bridge's construction site. He was with company of the Minister of the Public Works Abdulrahman Al-Mutawaa. (end) fnk.rk
