Blast kills three soldiers, wounds four others in Egypt's Sinai - Army

CAIRO, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Egypt's Armed Forces announced Friday an explosive device killed three soldiers and injured four others while launching raids on some terror hotbeds in Jabal Al-Halal in central Sinai, said a military spokesman.
Three "takfiris" (Islamist militants accusing other fellow Muslims of blasphemy) were killed and three others were arrested during the raids that began on February 15, colonel Tamer Al-Rifa'e added in a statement.
Also some weapons and ammunition depots, and equipment belonging to the "takfiris" were destroyed, he said.
The Armed Forced have managed also to destroy six vehicles and three motorbikes, and seize two other vehicles as well, he noted. (end) esm.hm
