Iran denies oil pipeline deal with Iraq's Kurdistan

TEHRAN, Jan 3 (KUNA) -- Iran denied on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with Iraq's Kurdistan for the construction of an oil pipeline connecting the Islamic Republic to the autonomous region.
No such agreement has been made, Iran's Ministry of Oil noted in a statement, adding that the issue will be addressed during Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zaneganeh's imminent visit to Iraq.
Any announcements made regarding this issue prior to Zaneganeh's visit are "baseless", the statement added. (end) mw.nam
