Bahrain deplores missile launch at Makkah

MANAMA, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the launch by the "coup militias in Yemen" of a ballistic missile towards the Saudi holy city of Makkah.
The Bahraini Foreign Ministry said in a statement that targeting this holy site provokes all Muslims across the world, and is deemed a despicable criminal act that has transgressed all religious, moral and humanitarian boundaries.
The ministry said that it stood by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting terrorism and anyone who attempts to target the kingdom or the sacred sites, while calling on all Islamic countries and members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to stand united against the heinous act and its perpetrators and supporters.
It also reiterated Bahrain's relentless support to Yemen's legitimacy until it restores its security and peace, and its legitimate government assumes all its responsibilities, resulting in a peaceful settlement based on the GCC Initiative, the outcome of the national dialogue and UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
