BRUSSELS, Oct 15 (KUNA) -- The EU condemned Saturday the latest terrorist attack on a border post in Sinai in which 12 Egyptian soldiers were reported killed.
A statement by the spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherin in a statement noted that the responsibility for the attack was claimed by the so-called Islamic State (IS).
"It is a tragic reminder of the continuing terrorist threat to Egypt that threatens its stability. The EU stands by the Egyptian people and government in their fight against Daesh, an important part of the broader fight against Daesh in the region," it added. (end)
