Israeli troops demolish 13 Palestinians' houses near Al-Quds

RAMALLAH, July 26 (KUNA) -- Israeli troops demolished on Tuesday 13 houses belonging to Palestinians in Kalandia and Al-Esawiya villages on the pretext of being near the separation barrier which separates the West Bank from Al-Quds.
Head of Kalandia's city council Yousef Awadallah said to KUNA that the Israeli troops demolished 13 houses in the town after forcing the occupants out of their homes.
He added that the residents of Kalandia tried to prevent the demolitions while the Israeli troops were storming them by gas bombs. A number of Palestinians were wounded.
Awadallah added that in Al-Esawiya near Al-Quds, the Israeli troops demolished an under-construction house and other Palestinian facilities on the pretext of being built without a permit.(end) nq.mar
