Saudi Arabia condemns Brussels blasts

RIYADH, March 22 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia has denounced explosions that hit Brussels airport and a metro station on Tuesday and that left scores of people dead or injured.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud sent a cable of condolences to King Philippe of Belgium over the victims of the blasts, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
He called for more concerted international efforts to be exerted in order to fight terrorism, it added.
The death toll of the explosion at the Brussels airport has risen to 14 dead, with 81 others injured, while the death toll of the explosion at the Maalbeek metro has reached 20 dead and 106 others have been injured, according to media reports. (end) ad.mt
