GENEVA, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait strives to get involved in all humanitarian efforts carried out by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Kuwait permanent representative to UN and International Organizations in Geneva Jamal Al-Ghunaim stressed on Tuesday.
Al-Ghumain told KUNA, after a meeting with ICRC's President Peter Maurer, " Kuwait will fulfil its humanitarian duties towards the unfortunates in Iraq, Syrian and Yemen until security and stability returns to these countries." ICRC's is backed and trusted by Kuwait, Al-Ghumain pointed out, adding the humanitarian institute played a major role in the Kuwaiti POWs and missing persons' file in 1991.
In addition, ICRC plays an appreciative role to the Palestinians who suffer from a daily Israeli aggression.
