ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif will leave for Saudi Arabia and Iran on Monday for talks on a host of issues, said the Foreign Office.
A statement issued by Pakistani Foreign Office on Sunday said that a high-level delegation would accompany the prime minister.
It further said: "Pakistan has deep rooted and brotherly relations with both Saudi Arabia and Iran and it is concerned over ongoing tension between the two Muslim countries."
It added that Pakistan wants to defuse tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran in a peaceful manner. Pakistan believes in brotherly relations among the OIC member states, said the statement. (end)
