MADRID, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- Mauritania's Foreign Minister Hamadi Ould Meimou held talks with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo in the Spanish capital Friday.
The two sides addressed ways to boost bilateral ties in various fields, particularly in anti-terrorism, radicalism, and strengthening investments, Spanish foreign ministry said in a statement, adding that the two ministers reviewed promising investment opportunities in Mauritania.
They also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on conducting regular political consultations to improve bilateral cooperation, expressing their satisfaction towards the good bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in immigration, anti-organized crime, anti-terror, and anti-extreme violence.
Meanwhile, Margallo thanked Ould Meimou for his country's support of Madrid in winning a seat at the UNSC, the statement said, adding that the two sides commended the significant growth of commercial exchange between the two countries. (end) hnd.tma.ma
