ABU DHABI, July 28 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday strongly denounced the Iranian blatant interventions in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash was quoted by the official WAM news agency as deploring Iran's non-observance of good neighborliness in clear violation of norms and international conventions and its (Iran) repeated attempts to stir sectarian strife among the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He pointed out that the UAE followed with strong indignation statements made by responsible parties in Iran, which constitute blatant transgression of an independent and sovereign state, stressing the need to stop such irresponsible statements.
He expressed surprise over the Iranian calls to open a new page with the countries of the region in order to seriously combat terrorism at a time when Tehran is trying to destabilize the security and stability of the region in general and Bahrain in particular through training terrorist elements and harboring fugitives from justice and attempts to smuggle weapons and explosives into the Kingdom through the operation which the Bahraini authorities had thwarted a few days ago.
