Ministers of super powers, Iran to try anew resolve nuclear issue for good

VIENNA, July 6 (KUNA) -- Foreign ministers of major western powers and Iran are due to hold yet a new round of talks in Vienna later on Monday in a fresh bid to reach final settlement for Iran's thorny nuclear file.
Officials taking part in the marathon negotiations that got started a week ago have unanimously expressed the belief that they are only a stone's throw away from such an aspired deal.
Despite affirmations by US Secretary of State John Kerry and his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javd Zarif, that there has been major headway in the negotiations, they have acknowledged that certain issues need to be thrashed out.
Kerry has threatened that the US delegation would walk out of the negotiating process unless Teheran acknowledges western fears regarding existence of nuclear capacities at its military sites or bases.
An Iranian official meanwhile has predicted that the negotiations will proceed till Thursday, although Kerry remains adamant that Tuesday is the final date for hammering out a viable deal.
Super powers are essentially proposing lifting of sanctions on Iraq in exchange for its cessation of nuclear activities, particularly those eyed as potentially can be employed for military purposes. (end) amq.rk
