AMMAN, June 30 (KUNA) -- Forty Syrian regime forces were killed in a shelling against a command center in the city of Daraa, a source from the field said Monday.
Opposition forces fired a 1,000-kilogram surface-to-surface missile at the command center killing 40 soldiers inside, Syria Mubasher news quoted a source from the field as saying.
The missile attack is part of opposition forces' South Storm battle they are waging against the regime forces in the southern provices of Quneitera, Daraa and Suwaidaa.
Meanwhile, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said two persons were killed and another was wounded during heavy bombardment by barrel bombs which were dropped by the regime warplanes outisde Daraa. (end) tk.bs
