BRUSSELS, May 18 (KUNA) -- A court in the Belgian city of Antwerp Monday convicted seven women for joining the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Four of those convicted are currently in Syria. They have been sentenced to five years in jail and a 15,000 euro fine. A warrant has been issued for their immediate arrest, according to Belgian media reports.
The three other women convicted are all still in Belgium. They have been given suspended prison sentences of up to 30 months and also given suspended fines. (end)
