Kuwait SC crowned 2014-15 football league champions

KUWAIT, May 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait SC became Kuwaiti football league 2014-15 champions with a 2-0 home win against Sulaibikhat, beating Al-Arabi to a 12th title by direct encounters and goal difference as both sides were equal on 66 points.
Khaled Ajab scored in the 16th minute, with Tunisian Chadi El Homami adding another, two minutes before the end of original time of the match which took place on Saturday evening.
Kuwait SC take the VIVA Premier League without a single loss all season, guided by local coach Mohammad Ibrahim, who had led Qadsia to the title last season.
The result came despite Al-Arabi's 7-0 drabbing of Al-Jahra.
Al-Arabi and Qadsia are the most two teams to have won the league, which was launched in 1961, with 16 titles apiece. (end) bsu.sd
