Qadsiya beats Kazma 3-2, snatches 1st volleyball Super Cup title

KUWAIT, May 4 (KUNA) -- Qadsiya snatched the first 'Super Cup' title of the Kuwaiti Volleyball Federation after beating rival Kazma three sets to two late on Sunday.
The fiery sets came as follows: 25-15, 25-23, 25-22, 26-24 and 15-8.
In a statement to KUNA after the match, Qadsiya captain Zaid Al-Kadhemi said his teammates managed to overcome difficulties and snatch the title from a worthy opponent, which would give them (Qadsiya) a strong push for the next season.
"Most of our players are young and lack experience in dealing with major matches," he noted, yet commended their efforts which eventually granted them the title after being behind by two sets.
This is the Federation's first 'Super Cup' tournament, which involves title holder and second place winner of both the league and cup.
In a prior match the same night, Kuwait beat Al-Arabi by three sets to nil and won third place. (end) ayr.hb
