ANKARA, May 3 (KUNA) -- Ankara Metro hall is hosting a photography exhibition on the history of Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
"The exhibition includes pictures of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the City of Jerusalem," Hamza Hattab, curator of the venue told KUNA on Sunday.
The exhibition opened yesterday and will last till May 7.
Hattab said one of the gallery's goals is to shed light on the Palestinian cause and suffering of the Palestinian people and to "attract attention of the Turkish audience to the cause after years of marginalization, either in Turkish educational curricula or media." The exhibition is dubbed 'Quds ... gate to the sky.' "Attempts are currently underway to abolish Islamic landmarks in the city through the building of tunnels under the Mosque and turning them into museums with 'fabricated' and 'alleged' sights in a bid to present the Mosque as a place of worship for Jews," Hattab pointed out.
