Oman says aid will certainly ease Syrian refugees' suffering

KUWAIT, March 30 (KUNA) -- Omani Minister of Legal Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al-Saeedi said Monday provision of humanitarian aid by donor countries and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) would help ease suffering of the Syrian people.
Al-Saeedi, also Chairman of Oman Charity Authority, said delivery of aid will help millions of Syrian refugees overcome difficulties they were experiencing away from their homes.
Al-Saeedi was speaking to KUNA following his rrival in Kuwait to participate in the Third International Pledging Humanitarian Conference for Syria, due tomorrow.
It is important that financial pledges exceed total contributions announced in the first and second pledging conferences, which were held in Kuwait in 2013 and 2014, he added.
Al-Saeedi thanked the government and people of Kuwait for their generous support for the Syrian people. (end) kt.bs
