Arab League stresses support for Libya's legitimate institutions

CAIRO, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby has stressed that the league is exerting huge efforts to achieve national consensus among different parties in Libya, calling for continuous support for the country's legitimate institutions.
Al-Araby made the remark during his meeting with Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammad Al-Dairy, who is on a visit to Cairo.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in Libya as well as Arab and international contacts and consultations in this regard, said the league in a news statement on Friday.
Meanwhile, Egyptian Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi and his Libyan counterpart Masoud Erhuma tackled here on Friday the latest developments in the region and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The two sides reviewed security cooperation to achieve the interest of the two countries, Egypt's Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
They also focused on exchanging expertise between the two countries in various domains, including countering terrorism, and securing their borders. (end) aff.mfm.hm
