Kuwait official hails military ties with Senegal

DAKAR, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Head of the visiting Kuwaiti military cooperation and defense delegation Colonel Nayef Al-Shallahi commended here on Monday the "developed" military ties with Senegal.
Al-Shallahi made this remark to KUNA after a meeting of the Kuwaiti-Senegalese military joint committee that discussed the ways and means of promoting military cooperation between the two countries.
The Kuwaiti official recalled the honorable stance of Senegal when it took part in the war launched by the international coalition forces to liberate Kuwait in 1991 following the Iraqi invasion in 1990.
The Senegalese side presented a draft memorandum of understating in the military field, Al-Shallahi said, adding the draft would be sent to Kuwait's Foreign Ministry for consideration. (pickup previous) hrz.hm
