16 Iraqis killed, injured in rocket attack in Tikrit - source

BAGHDAD, July 30 (KUNA) -- Sixteen Iraqi people were either killed or injured in a rocket attack on a house that was witnessing a wedding in the north of Tikrit, 140 KMs northwest of Baghdad, on Wednesday, a security source said.
The source of the rocket is still unknown but eyewitnesses were reportedly saying Iraqi army helicopters that were pursuing strongholds of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fired a rocket and hit the house.
The source, from Salah Ad-Deen Operations Command, said "an anonymous shelling hit a house that was witnessing a wedding in the Sherqat province (120 KMs north of Tikrit), killing 12 Iraqis and injuring four others." Most of Salah Ad-Deen areas are witnessing military operations after militants' full control of the Nineveh province. (end) mhg.bs
