GAZA, July 14 (KUNA) -- Izz Eddin Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, has claimed responsibility for launching a Kornet missile that hit an Israeli tank near Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.
The Brigades added in a statement today that its fighters "managed Monday evening to target an Israeli tank north of Beit Lahia with a Kornet anti-tank missile that destroyed it completely".
Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokesman said that a missile targeting a tank on the Gaza borders, was intercepted by the "wind jacket" defence system fixed on tanks.
He added that intercepting the missile that targeted a Merkava, caused no loss or casualties. (pickup previous)
