KUWAIT, March 5 (KUNA) -- Maximum penalties will be taken against any
telecommunication company trading in eavesdropping devices, warned Minister of
Communications Essa Al-Kanderi on Wednesday.
Offenders will be referred to the public prosecution, the minister warned
further, during a debate at the National Assembly.
Legislators debated a bill stipulating establishment of a telecommunication
authority during today's session of the Parliament.
Some MPs charged during the discussions that a number of companies
"possess" listening bugs, in violation of the Constitution and State Laws.
