RABAT, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas arrived in
Marrakech on Thursday to take part in the 20th session of Al Quds Committee,
an offshoot of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to meet in
Marrakech on January 17-18 under the chairmanship of King Mohammed VI.
Preparatory meetings of the session were held earlier in the day at the
level of senior officials of Al Quds Committee member states.
The gathering will be attended by the foreign ministers of the committee
member states, UN Security Council member states, the UN, EU and the Arab
League.
During the two-day conference, the conferees are to discuss the latest
Palestinian developments and Israeli attempts to wipe out the religious
characteristics of Jerusalem. (end)
