KUWAIT, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Secretary General Ali Al-Yuha on Friday voiced condolences over the death of famous painter Ayoub Hussein Al-Ayoub who breathed his last earlier today at the age of 83. "Over 40 years, Al-Ayoub has enriched Kuwait's cultural and artistic movement with over 700 paintings which documented important stages of Kuwait's modern history," Al-Yuha said in a press statement.
He added that Al-Ayoub has gone "but will always be remembered by the great legacy of his artwork".
He revealed that the NCCAl's was putting the final touches on Ayoub Hussein Al-Ayoub House for fine arts which was planned to be inaugurated November 21 and houses Al-Ayoub artworks.
Al-Yuha expressed heartfelt condolences over loss of renowned artists and voiced sympathy with his family.
He recalled Al-Ayoub's role in the establishment of the National Museum of Kuwait in 1958 and the documentation of the details of Kuwaiti marine environment through his paintings. (end) has.tb.ibi KUNA 152101 Nov 13NNNN
