BAGHDAD, Sept 13 (KUNA) -- Thirty-five people were killed in an explosion
targeting a mosque in Diyala province northeast of Baghdad, said a security
source here Friday.
The source told KUNA that two explosive devices went off near a mosque in
Hai Al-Mu'alimeen neighborhood in Diyala's biggest city of Baquba. The
explosion also led to the injury of 30 people who were transferred to a nearby
hospital for treatment.
A couple of days ago, Baghdad witnessed a suicide blast targeting a Shite
gathering which led to the death of 30 people. (end)
