AMMAN, April 19 (KUNA) -- Jordan will close its borders with Iraq as of
midnight Friday at the request of Baghdad, security authorities said.
They added in a statement that the borders would be closed against people
and goods for 24 hours.
The Iraqi border authorities informed Jordan they were closing the Traibeel
crossing as of midnight tonight "because of elections," said the statement.
It urged the Jordanians to abide by the closure timings. (end)
