Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Azzam Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah explains nat''l flag incident during Gulf Cup match
(With photos) MANAMA, Jan 7 (KUNA) -- The change in the red color of the Kuwaiti flag to orange during the Gulf Cup match between Kuwait and Yemen was due to the stadium lights effects, said Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Azzam Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah here Monday. Sheikh Azzam told KUNA that low quality material which the flag was made of and the stadium spotlights, resulted with an orange refelection to the red color in the Kuwaiti flag.
The Kuwaiti diplomat stressed that the flags carried by a number of Kuwaiti students during the match had no political connotations, adding that those pictures exchanged within social media sites were totally misunderstood and did not reflect the reality of the situation.
