CAIRO, Dec 30 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammad Kamel Amr
strongly denounced on Sunday the bombing at a building belonging to the
Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church in Misrata city, north Libya, last night.
The deadly bombing killed to Egyptian workers and wounded two others.
The Minister expressed, in a press release here, sincere condolences to the
victims and their relatives, and urged for a thorough investigation into the
crime and brining the culprits to justice.
Upon receiving notification of the heinous crime, Egyptian consul in
Tripoli, capital of Libya, Tareq Dahdouj rushed to the site, Spokesman of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Minister Plenipotentiary Amr Rushdi said.
The Consul, accompanied by the monk of the church Morqos Zaghlool inspected
the scene of the crime and met leaders of the local security services
investigating the crime, Rushdi pointed out.
The Egyptian Embassy in Tripoli sent an urgent request for the Libyan
authorities to provide the necessary protection to the church and the
affiliate buildings. (end)
