GAZA, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- The police of Gaza Strip said Saturday the Israeli
occupation forces used some 3,000 missiles and shells of various types in
their recent eight-day aggression on the Strip.
The Israeli Air Force's Apache, F-15s and drones fired 1,500 Mk US-made
guided missiles while the naval and grounded forces used a similar number of
missiles, said Major Hazem Abu Murad, deputy director of explosive engineering
department of Gaza police.
The explosive experts managed to defuse three bombs each of which weighs
one ton, he said in a press release here.
The Israeli army said it pounded up to 1,400 targets during the so-called
"Operation Pillar of Defense" between November 14 and 21, 2012. (end)
