TEHRAN, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's youth and junior national squash teams
arrived in Tehran on Monday to take part in the internationally-accredited
Iran Junior Open.
"Our team are ready to achieve high results in this competition which
started today and continues on until Thursday," head of the Kuwait Squash
Federation Hussain Al-Maqseed said in a statement to KUNA.
"Iran is organizing this competition for the first time and we wish it all
the success. We also hope that our team can achieve positive results in light
of the good preparation it has been receiving lately."
The results of the competitions will be added to the team's points on the
Asian and international ranking, he also noted.
The team comprises Yousif Nizar, Aqbi Sultan, Issa Ashkanani, Abdullah
Ismail, Mohammad Jasim, Ali Al-Qallaf, Mishal Al-Quraini, Ali Al-Enezi and
Mohammad Abdulaziz all from the U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 squads, in addition
to their coaches Egyptian Ahmad Abdelaal and Pakistani Omran Khan.
The head of the sports body went on to thank the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iran
Majdi Al-Dhifeeri for his warm welcome of the team and his efforts to make
their stay a pleasurable one. (end)
