BAGHDAD, June 26 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi government has agreed to extend the UN
Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) for another year.
Spokesman for the Iraqi Government Ali Al-Dabbagh said in a release his
country had agreed during a routine meeting on Tuesday to extend the UNAMI's
mission for a another full year.
The UNAMI is charged with coordination UN efforts in Iraq, and following up
on relations between Iraq and Kuwait and Iraq's response to relevant UN
resolutions. (end)
