(With photos) KUWAIT, May 31 (KUNA) -- Abdullah Al-Mezyen, of Kuwait, has been crowned as champ of the third Kuwait international professional squash championship on Thursday after defeating his Egyptian rival Omar Abdulmajid.
The match, held at Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah Squash Complex here this evening, ended in favor of Al-Mezyen with a score of 11-7, 7-11, 11-9 and 11-2.
Sheikh Mishaal Talal Al-Fahad Al-Sabah congratulated Al-Mezyen on the win, hailing the contribution of the championship in promoting this sport in Kuwait.
Sheikh Mishaal said in statements to KUNA that the Kuwait Squash Association (KSA) is one of the world's best national squash associations.
"Through organizing local, regional and inter-continental competitions, the KSA was able to discover new talented squash players," he added.
