RIYADH, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- Head of the Kuwait Radio broadcasters in Kuwaiti Ministry of Information Saad Al-Fendi said here on Monday that Kuwait Radio, represented by the general program, has joined transmission of Radio Riyadh to cover activities of the 32nd Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit which commences here today.
Al-Fendi told KUNA that the public radio program has joined Radio Riyadh through (The Voice of the Gulf Cooperation Council program) as of yesterday for three days from 2:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m.
He pointed out that this participation in this annual Gulf gathering came under the guidance and information minister, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Undersecretary Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah.
Al-Fendi added that Radio Kuwait is pleased to join Radio Riyadh in covering events of the current GCC summit.
He added that the launching of this service was inaugurated by Minister of Culture and Information of saudi Arabia Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja, who hailed the step by Kuwait Radio to join the voice of the Cooperation Council program.
Al-Fendi quoted Khoja as praising the level of professionalism of Radio Kuwait which has been able to progress steadily and well, stressing the importance of media cooperation between radio stations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. (end).
