RAMALLAH, Aug 21 (KUNA) -- Israeli troops arrested five Palestinians in the
city of Bethlehem on Sunday, including two who have been wounded by the
Palestinian security sources said in a press statement that the occupation
forces arrested two Palestinians in the Diheisheh refugee camp south of
Bethlehem and transported them to an unknown destination.
The sources added that Israeli forces stormed the houses and opened fire,
wounding two Palestinians and later arresting them.
In the town of Al-Khidr, south of Bethlehem, Israeli troops arrested three
youths after raiding their homes.
On the other hand, a young boy was wounded earlier today when Israeli
troops opened fire at Beit Lahia, north of Gaza Strip.
Spokesman of the Supreme Committee for ambulance and emergency in the Gaza
Strip Adham Abu Selmiya told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the boy, 12, was
injured by Israeli shelling on the Shaimaa area, north of Beit Lahiya.
Furthermore, Israeli troops arrested more than 120 Palestinians in the city
Hebron, including figures and lawmakers from Hamas, in addition to five other
Palestinians in Bethlehem.
Palestinian security sources said in press statements that the Israeli
occupation forces stormed the houses in Hebron and searched and arrested more
than 120 Palestinians, including Hamas lawmaker Muhammad Abu Jihaisha and
other dignitaries. (end)
