BAGHDAD, April 23 (KUNA) -- Director-General of the Iraqi General
Commission of Customs Fadhel Fuad Abbas has been assassinated in south Baghdad
Saturday night.
Unknown gunmen using firearms with silencers gunned down Abbas who died on
the spot and fled the scene, a police officer told KUNA.
Earlier today Qais Abdullatif, a military officer, was shot dead in a
similar attack south Baghdad.
Mohammd Qasem, an Iraqi secret service operative, was also shot dead in
west Baghdad today. (pickup previous)
