KUWAIT, March 4 (KUNA) -- The "Afkari" Exhibition, held on the occasion of
national celebrations, continues to hold events that showcase national days
related handicrafts made by Kuwaiti women, Afkari Executive Director said on
Friday.
Bader Al-Amer told KUNA that the events involve contests and songs
depicting the national occasions.
It also displays collections of products and handicrafts made by creative
Kuwaiti women as a participation in Kuwait's national celebrations, he noted
Afkari is considered a weekly commercial market that provides stability and
a chance for unemployed Kuwaiti women to present their products, innovations
and creations all year long.
Al-Amer concluded by saying that the importance of the exhibition is to
enhance social development and strengthen the individual's abilities of
patience and perseverance in choosing a profession or a craft as well as
establishing work concepts, in cooperation with the government's program of
supporting national labor. (end)
