KUWAIT, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad
Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Wednesday the US Ambassador to Kuwait Deborah
Jones, who delivered a handwritten letter from President Barack Obama.
The letter discussed bilateral relations, issues of mutual importance and
current regional and international affairs, read a statement by the Amiri
Diwan.
The president also congratulated Kuwait on the 50th National Day, the 20th
Day of Liberation and the five-year anniversary of HH the Amir's ascendance to
office.
HH the Amir also received the Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, Ahmad Farahat,
who delivered a handwritten letter from his country's Chief of the Supreme
Armed Forces Council Field Marshal Hussain Tantawi, related to ties between
the two countries and means to usher forward cooperation.
The two encounters were also attended by Deputy Minister for Amiri diwan
Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah al-Sabah and Amiri Diwan Advisor Mohammad Abulhasan.
