BAGHDAD, April 23 (KUNA) -- The wave of fiery blasts that rumbled across
the Iraqi capital on Friday killed up to 57 people and wounded 180 others,
police said in an updated report.
A police source told KUNA the fiercest explosion in today's chain of blasts
was in the suburban region of Al-Sadr city where up to 39 people lost their
lives.
Security authorities said police detained a would-be bomber in Al-Amin
district before he could set off the explosives strapped to his body. (pickup
