GAZA, July 11 (KUNA) -- Israeli warships opened fire at Palestinian fishing
boats to the north of Gaza Strip but no fisherman was injured, Palestinian
sources said.
The sources, asking not to be named, told KUNA the Israeli vessels fired
machineguns' bullets at the direction of the Palestinian fishing boats in an
area in the sea called Sudaniya.
The Israeli attack did not result in human casualties among Palestinian
fishermen who were forced to dock to avoid the bullets, they added.
Israeli warships target the Palestinian fishing boats almost daily under
pretext of sailing off limits specified by the Israeli forces.
The Israeli warships forbid the Palestinian fishermen from sailing beyond
three nautical miles to prevent smuggling of arms. (end)
