MANAMA, May 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Azzam Al-Sabah said
Sunday the headquarters of the GCC disasters' management center is to be
hosted in Kuwait, since the state is least prone to natural disasters in the
region.
Sheikh Azzam, head of the Kuwaiti delegation to the launch ceremony of the
2009 Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction in Bahrain, said the
center is specialized in specifying risk, analyzing causes, and yielding
possible solutions to counter impact.
The Ambassador expressed joy over the choice of Kuwait as host of such a
body that would address such an urgent and pressing global concern.(end)
