RIYADH, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia commended the results of the recent Arab Economic Summit, chaired by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, assuring that the result covered many aspects of interest of Arab citizens.
The Saudi Cabinet, in a statement after its meeting, saluted sincere dedications of the brave people of Gaza to their persistence of the violent Israeli attacks.
The statement called for an Arab and regional action to investigate the criminal actions of Israel in Gaza, where some 1,300 were killed, over 5,300 were injured and many others were displaced.
According to such actions, Israel committed flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, said the statement.
It also added that Israel refused the Arab peace initiative, approved at an Arab Summit in Beirut in 2002, where King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia warned that the initiative would not be "on the table" forever. (end) od.mao KUNA 262244 Jan 09NNNN
