BEIRUT, Jan 20 (KUNA) -- The Arab Economic, Social and Development Summit, being hosted by Kuwait, has helped save the Palestine question from the internal political Palestinian divisions, a Lebanese member of parliament said here on Tuesday.
"His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah backed by the Kuwaiti people and government have proved to be a key supporter of the central Arab cause of Palestine, Marawan Hamada, a Democratic Forum MP," told KUNA.
"The summit provided a timely opportunity to save the Palestinian issue from the international political conflict and the consequences of the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
"The resolutions of the summit, if implemented effectively, would corner Israel and begin the count down of restoring the legitimate rights of the Arab countries," Hamada believes. (end) oh.gb.
