Arab summit succeeds politically, economically -- Sheikh Ahmad

KUWAIT, Jan 20 (KUNA) -- President of the National Security Bureau Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah said the Arab Economic Summit that concluded here Tuesday succeeded both politically and economically despite the difficult circumstances.
Al-Sabah told KUNA that the summit was held amid difficult conditions like the Israeli aggression soon Gaza Strip and the world economic crisis.
He said that the wisdom of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah contributed in solving many issues and uniting the Arab countries.
He stressed that the summit also succeeded in achieving its goal of supporting the Arab economy by announcing the establishment of a fund to finance development projects.
The summit was a positive step to achieve Arab cooperation and unity, he said.
