Saudi King''s speech at Arab Eco. Summit helps inter-Arab solidarity -Al-Attiyah

RIYADH, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Abdurrahman Al-Attiyah said Monday speech of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia before the Arab Economic Summit in Kuwait was "historic and creates new ground for common Arab action." Al-Attiya, in Kuwait for the two-day Economic Summit, was quoted by the state-run news agency (SPA) as saying the speech would mark a new beginning in the common Arab action based on "values of clarity, frankness and the desire to work collectively to facing present and future challenges." Al-Attiyah praised Saudi Arabia's contribution with USD one billion for a proposed program to recosntruct Gaza Strip following the devastating damage done by the Israeli aggression.
King Abdullah's speech, he added, created a new ground for Arab solidarity specially regarding Gaza, as well as triggered bright atmosphere in the Arab summit.
